Job-knowledge tests

Retail job-knowledge tests

Retail hiring often turns on whether someone can count a drawer, apply a posted return rule, and keep a floor safe. A resume does not show that. These quizzes ask about those procedures with a fixed answer key.

Cash handling covers an opening count, change, voids, safe drops, and tender. Customer service covers a greeting, a return, a tense conversation, and when a manager takes over. Store operations covers rotation, shelf labels, shrink procedures, and spills or blocked exits.

A reviewed quiz can be sent to a candidate. A quiz that is still a draft can be tried by the employer only. The score lists topics. It does not label the person, and it is not a background check.

Free practice courses sit next to the weak topics: making change, a returns policy, calming a conversation, stocking, shrink procedures, and the sales floor. Finishing a course does not change the quiz score.

Employers decide whether a target score is job-related. PreHireBadge does not set a cutoff and does not sort a list of people by score.
